MOVING FORWARD: Spend extra time today with someone who is grieving a loss. Help me connect with her without sight, touch, sound, smell, or taste. What we loved is no longer where it was, no longer recognizable. When the spirit leaves the body, we understand it wasn’t the body we loved. When a loved one dies, we are left with a body that will decompose. This quilt is cherished not because of the craftsmanship or materials but because I feel close to her-reconnected-when I wrap it around me and snuggle into its warmth. My favorite patchwork quilt is made of my Aunt Maureen’s clothes.
All the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing tunics and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was with them. Acts 9:39 So Peter got up and went with them and when he arrived, they took him to the room upstairs.
