Is Motorcity going to get the marginal gambling customer just because they have 50 more machines? The downstairs machines don't get as many players as upstairs does.Īs for the strike, the UAW might be in a very bad position. There are already several hundred slots downstairs. I am not sure how effective Motorcity would be in shutting down the poker room and filling it with slots. I'm curious if this is the thing that kills off Greektown's room. If I remember right they killed off the tournaments there because of non union dealers filling up spots. I've always had a feeling management at Motor City would rather fill the poker room with other games and not deal with poker. Greektown might as well be dead with how little action it gets. I have an odd feeling that this casino worker strike is what will eventually kill off one if not two poker rooms.
